Arriving to Glenapp Castle
The closest airport to Glenapp is Glasgow, Scotland. Glenapp Castle is 1 hour and 40 mins from Glasgow Airport by car. If you plan on visiting other parts of Scotland before Glenapp, I am happy to help coordinate your arrival as well.
Arrival in Glasgow: Once you arrive in Glasgow, you have two options on how to get to Glenapp Castle.
OPTION 1: Private Transfer
1 hr 50min Private Transportation from Glasgow Airport to Glenapp Castle ranges from about £250 each way per person, if you are traveling alone. If you are traveling together as a group or arriving at the same time as others, it will bring the cost down per person. This will be arranged through a private transportation company or Glenapp.
OPTION 2: Train and Taxi
From Glasgow Airport, you will take a taxi to Glasgow Central Train Station then take the train to Ayr Station or Girvan Station. Once you arrive at either station, we can arrange a taxi/driver to pick you up and take you to the castle.
-Taxi from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow Central Station is about £20. Train from Glasgow to Ayr is 1 hr and cost is £14. Taxi from Ayr Station to Glenapp Castle is about 1 hour. Cost £80-£90.
OR
-Taxi from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow Central Station is about £20. Train from Glasgow to Girvan (you will do a quick change of trains at the Ayr station, travel time 1.5 hrs.) Cost £14. Taxi from Girvan Station to Glenapp Castle is about 30 mins. Cost is £40 – £50.
